On March 1, Elaine Brewer joined the Office of Information Technology as the Associate Vice President for Campus Strategy and Services. The position is new, but Elaine has been at Rice for 15 years serving at the Senior Director of Technology at Jones Graduate School of Business. She is familiar with the Rice IT environment and already knows many OIT and ISO staff as well as other campus support colleagues. The Campus Services team will be reporting to Brewer and she will also be developing strategic relationships with the IT support groups on campus, such as the Jones Graduate School of Business, Glasscock School of Continuing Studies, and Facilities Engineering & Planning.

Prior to Rice, Brewer was Director of Technology at University of Houston Bauer School of Business. She has an MBA from the University of Houston and two undergraduate degrees, Computer Information Systems and Business Administration, from Houston Christian University (formerly HBU).
