Congratulations Angela Rabuck

New Associate Vice President of Learning Environments and Enterprise Data & Business Intelligence

Angela Rabuck

On December 1, Angela Rabuck was appointed as the Associate Vice President of Learning Environments and Enterprise Data & Business Intelligence. Angela had been serving as the interim director since April and she has been employed by Rice for 20 years and earned her PhD in Theoretical Physical Chemistry at Rice. In 2005, she became an instructional technology specialist and her career continued to evolve down this path until she was promoted to Manager of Teaching & Scholarly Learning in 2015.

As Associate Vice President, Rabuck will oversee two distinct groups. The first is Learning Environments (LE), which consists of three main teams:

  • Teaching and Scholarly Learning is responsible for supporting educational software such as Canvas, Kaltura, Poll Everywhere, and other tools.
  • Learning Spaces supports the instruction technology systems installed in the 100+ general use classrooms controlled by the Office of the Registrar.
  • Student Systems specializes in student data systems and providing tools and support for students, faculty, and staff.

The second group is Enterprise Data & Business Intelligence (EDBI), which transforms Rice’s data assets into actionable and mission-aligned insights to inform policy and decision-making.
